At Seedlings Pediatrics, we’re dedicated to providing nurturing, evidence-based care for babies from birth to one year of age. We offer both consultation services for complex medical and developmental concerns, as well as primary well-baby care for families seeking a Family Physician.

Our clinic is part of Ensemble Healthcare, a multidisciplinary, infant-focused center in northwest Calgary. Together, we care for families through preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood—helping parents and little ones thrive at every stage.

Seedlings Pediatrics was founded by Dr. Laine Racher, who completed her medical degree at the University of Alberta (2008) and her pediatric residency at the University of Calgary (2012). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Canadian Paediatric Society, and a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary.

Throughout her career, Dr. Racher has cared for thousands of newborns and their families across Alberta and British Columbia, both in hospitals and community practices. With a deep understanding of the postpartum journey, she is honored to guide families through their child’s first year of life.

​

Alongside her passion for infant care, Dr. Racher has worked as a full-scope pediatrician caring for children from birth to 18 years. She has a special interest in the early identification and treatment of medical, developmental, social, and mental health concerns. Her approach focuses on supporting the whole family and nurturing the bond between babies and their caregivers.

​

Outside of work, Dr. Racher is the proud mom of a lovely young daughter and stepmom to two amazing young adults. She loves spending time with her family and their Labrador retriever—skiing, biking, hiking, swimming, and soaking up time outdoors. Music and art also play a big part in their family life.
